The Kenny Lake Public Library serves the community of Kenny Lake and the surrounding area, providing information, ideas, and enjoyment through a diverse selection of library materials.

       LIBRARY OPEN HOURS:
      Monday, Thursday, Friday, & Saturday:  1-4pm  
      Tuesday: 4-7pm

    CLOSED: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Day, New Years Eve and Day, Independence Day, & KL Fair Day, and when temps are -30F and below.

Ways To Support Your Local Library
Membership Rates:  $25/ Family;  $18 Individual
Donations can be made to Kenny Lake Public Library by dropping off check at the library or by mail.  
You may also donate online through PayPal by clicking on the DONATE button above.  Your donation is tax-deductible.

Funding for the library comes from a small grant from the state library system, community revenue sharing, and patron donations.  Please consider making a donation or volunteering to keep our library open for years to come.
A new porch, ramp & workroom!
    We recently completed renovations on our building with the help of our many donors and the partnership of a grant from Alyeska Pipeline Services and the Rasmussen Foundation. Donors are our only source of revenue and we are grateful for all those who support the library. Our fund with the Alaska Community Foundation ensures sustainability of our library for the future. To donate to our ACF fund, click on the link button below and type "Kenny Lake Library Reserve Fund " in the search bar.

Alaska Digital Library, Becoming a patron & Ways to get involved at the library

We are always looking for new ways to serve our community and welcome new patrons.  
​
The Alaska Digital Library allows access to hundreds of e-books, audiobooks & magazines.  In the upper menu, select tab "Using the Library" and click on the image under Alaska Digital Library to access the website.  If you haven't been signed up yet, ask a librarian to set up your ADL account. You will get instructions on how to download and use the Libby's app from your phone, computer or tablet to enjoy offline reading, anywhere, anytime.
Becoming a new patron is free! Joining the library as a Friend of the Library is always greatly appreciated. Read the above section 'Ways to Support your Library'  for our Membership rates.

Do want to get involved at the library? We are always looking for volunteers and temporary subs. If interested, come meet us during open hours.  

Library Board Meetings are held the third Thursday of each month in person at the library or via Zoom. (Please call for a link).  Public is welcome to attend. We also welcome new board members at this time.
